Started our Stray bus tour. Only 5 on the bus!!! Had a cracking driver called James, So funny and happy to take us wherever. First stop was kaikoura, an east coast town famed for whale watching and dolphins. Didn't do any activities but wlaked along the beach and saw the seal colony. Pretty weird seeing them lying on the raod and grass. Stayed in a nice hostel with a spa and free soup, oh the finer things in life! The next stop was Picton, the ferry port....

Arrived to New Zealand at 6 O Clock in the morning and welcomed by cold air and lots and lots of rain. Was a big shock to find the wooly clothes, hats and gloves to put on. Clebrated my 27th birthday on the Tuesday and had a good day. Splahed out on a lunch out in an irish pub and ended up there until 10 at night. Got a Greyhound bus down to LA, not as dodgy as I thought it would be. Stayed in Santa Monica and did lots of lazing on the beach and shopping. It was hot and touristy but really clean and a nice resort. Had another 6 hours hours drive on day 3 to Denver, Colorado. Crossed our first time zone, very strange driving along then having to turn back time. Last day of Trek America. Must admit it was great taking down the tent for the LAST time.Drove to San Fran and walked across The Golden Gate bridge.
