Last stop in Europe for us was Denmark, which greeted us with a torrential downpour of rain with ferocity we hadn't seen since Thailand. Still, we had been looking forward to Copenhagen since we were given tickets to the fun park "Tivoli Gardens" so some schizophrenic weather wasn't going to stop us from enjoying ourselves. Tivoli Gardens delivered on a fun day out with plenty of thrilling rides. Even the more traditional lower impact rides like bumper cars were a load of fun, as they were the first bumper cars we had ever been on that truly embraced the bumping aspect of the ride.
When the weather cleared up and we had been on all the best rides three times a piece we took some time to walk around the city centre which was quite charming and certainly lived up to any expectations we had of the city.
Copenhagen was a means to an end for us to get a flight to Canada which was not without its own "excitement." We had to catch a short connecting flight to Munich before transferring to our direct flight to Vancouver. The flight to Munich was delayed because one of the staff members was busy doing some duty free shopping (this was the actual reason the other staff members provided for the delay) and when we arrived in Munich and finally started filing of the plane we only had 30 minutes until our next flight was due to leave. The problem was that the plane was parked quite a distance from the terminal and we had to wait for everyone to get onto a little bus but one guy couldn't find his Dad's walking frame so he held us up for another 20 minutes. We were convinced there was no way we could get the connection but sprinted through the airport anyway, cutting the passport control line and pushing people out of the way on the travelator we miraculously managed to get to the gate as it was closing.
