Happy Australia Day. We woke up and got ready for Coober Pedy Australia Day celebrations. When we arrived at the old timers mine {which is where it was held} we got some showbags. In the showbags were 2 flags, another gigantic flag, a balloon, a big pencil, a small stationary set, a wallet, a hat, a badge, some stickers, a lanyard and some tatoos all for free. After that that we had a picture with Maggie Beer {which you can see above}. She is a famous chef that lives in the Barossa Valley. Shortly after the speeches we went back to the caravan where we had lunch, then we headed of to the 'Breakaways' which are spectacular hills that have been eroded over millions of years. After that we drove to the dingo fence which is the longest stretching fence in the world. It stretches over QLD, NSW and SA.It has a gate every 5 miles. The purpose of this fence is to keep the dingo's the to other side of the fence to the sheep. We drove back to the caravan and had a swim.
