We travelled east to the Wetlands Discovery Centre and then with the Pecks enjoyed the jumping crocodile cruise on the Adelaide River. Brutus and his mates performed very well with lots of leaps and snapping jaws. We finished the day with dinner at Ruby's Restaurant in the city - happy birthday Dad xxx

A trip into a safe place to swim in Darwin - the city beach enclosure and nearby wave lagoon. We had fun trying to catch waves on our boogie boards and it was a popular place for families and tourists. Waves are artificially generated and are up to a metre high.

A visit to the Darwin Museum featured exhibits on Sweetheart (a 5 metre saltwater crocodile), Cyclone Tracy, indigenous art and lots more. I found 2 different turtle species in the fish pond. Late afternoon we went to Mindil Beach for the sunset markets and met Bron, Blake, Abs and Liv (friends from Ballarat). The sunset, stalls, food and entertainment was great, especially the fire juggling act and the drumming monkey puppets.

Casuarina boasts the largest shopping centre in NT so we just had to check it out, and use up some of our soon to expire gift cards. Not as big as Chaddy but over 200 stores for us to explore.

A short drive to our caravan park about 25 km east of Darwin and then into the city to catch up on mail and visit the Information Centre. Fraser was excited to see some buildings over 10 storeys high. Did I mention we've been reading lots on the trip?
