Hey friends!
Oh no Brian I didn't get your tip until I was back in the states. At least I know now when I to to Toronto/Montreal. I assume my little cousin will be starting school any day now, exciting! Give her a hug from me!
Cai I'm so proud of you, I know you've wanted employee of the month for ages, yay! I could never say no to a weekend in London:) missing your chat dude, any chance there's one if those hotels in Miami:)
So just hanging around Portland. The northwest of the USA is simply stunning. Plus they don't get amazing weather and like to complain about it, kind of makes you feel at home.
I met some English guys in my form an went out for dinner and drinks last night. It's so weird hearing the English voice again, they're are the first Brits I've bumped into yet. They rented a car and are driving around. Last night when we went to get in the car, they had a parking ticket. It's not made obvious but your not supposed to park within six feet of a fire hydrant here! They had to go to court today and stand in front of a judge haha! They said he was being lovely to everyone else, but told them that parking by a fire hydrant is the worst possible offence! He still took sixty dollars off the fine at least.
Luckily the weather turned out nice today, so i could have a proper walk around. There's the worlds largest independent bookstore here that takes up a whole block. It broke my heart that I couldn't buy all the books, otherwise the weight would break my back:( I had a walk around Washington park where there's a rose garden, with every rose you can imagine. I got a tour which was ok, I was the only person on the tour. He just explained why Portland is called rose city, how he roses get their names and how the test roses are produced. All very interesting aye!
Apparently there is a Market tomorrow down at the river that sells arts and crafts, so that should be good to check out before I jump the bus to California!
Hope everythings fun at home! Miss you all xXx
