Well I've been in minneapolis for little over an hour, and it's made an everlasting impression but not a good one. After getting a taxi to my hostel I was dramatically turned away because it was simply too early. Of course, why would I knock on a hostel door at 6.30am after a night of travelling on a greyhound bus. Apparently check in is only after 1pm, and NO they will not take my bags in the mean time. So I was left to wander the streets of Minneapolis with my massive bagpack! I have to admit the neighbourhood didn't look too friendly, so I shot into the safest place I knew... Starbucks! I knew starbucks always come to re rescue! The staff helped me look up cheap hotels to stay and told me that I do not want to stay in that hostel or probably that neighbourhood. So they've booked me into the best wetern downtown and told me the places to go, phew! I'll be glad for a decent shower and bed. At least tomorrows journey is heading for a better part!
As for the greyhound, it's not too bad! Apart from the first 2hours where I was sharing half of my seat with a woman who really should have bought 2 seats. But then she moved, I had two sets to myself for a while and then a guy sat next to me who gave me his pillow, so got a fairly decent sleep!
Anyway, no worries I'm here now and me And my vanilla are going to the best western!
