We had a beautiful campsite at the KOA in Sault Ste. Marie. We went to the Bushplane Museum and Mackinac Island. We had to go through the border to Michigan to take the ferry to the island. It is a beautiful tourist hub. There are no cars and the transportation is horse and buggy, bikes and walking. The older homes, gardens and shops are amazing. We had a beautiful drive from a Thunder Bay to Wawa. Stopped at White River for a pic with Winnie The Pooh. Scenery was lovely but we had a few stops for construction. Wawa has a famous Wawa goose monument which was erected in 1960 to commemorate the completion of the last link of the Trans Canada Highway.

Today was our 47th Anniversary and we spent a wonderful day exploring Thunder Bay, Ontario with Jan and Bruce. The first place we went was Kakabeka Falls which were big and beautiful. Then we saw the Terry Fox Statue. Amazing all the money this young man raised for cancer. Very impressive monument. Next we drove to the Amethyst Mine Panorama which is an active working quarry.
