We arrived home in Langley on Sunday, Sept. 17th. After leaving Yellowstone National Park we headed back to Canada crossing in Sweetgrass. The air was still smokey from the fires. Yellowstone National Park was our last place to visit before heading back to Canada. We spent hours exploring the geysers, mud volcanoes, hot springs and the Grand Canyon. This is truly an amazing place to visit and I think we will go back.

This was Steve's favourite day of the trip. He loves history and especially Native history. I must admit that I was totally engaged in all we saw and learned.

We visited the Corn Palace in Mitchell and it was lots of fun to see how they made Elvis and Willie Nelson out of the corn cobs. The theme for 2017 was Rock Of Ages. The history of the Corn Palace was very interesting.

We arrived in Custer to the haze from the Glacier fire. We visited Crazy Horse and what really impressed us with the dedication to this ongoing project. Mount Rushmore was also very interesting. Our drive through Custer State Park was amazing. The twists and turns kept us on the edge of our seats. When leaving Custer we drove through Deadwood and Sturgis. We loved our time in the Black Hills area.
