Jan and Heather's travels
We had a beautiful campsite at the KOA in Sault Ste. Marie. We went to the Bushplane Museum and Mackinac Island. We had to go through the border to Michigan to take the ferry to the island. It is a beautiful tourist hub. There are no cars and the transportation is horse and buggy, bikes and walking. The older homes, gardens and shops are amazing. We strolled around and took in many sights. We should of taken the 2 hour trip by horse and buggy around the island to really appreciate all this island has to offer. The Grand Hotel on this island was used as a backdrop for many movies. It was a long day but worth every minute. A must do on traveller's list.
