For one night we had luxury accommodation in KL before we caught a flight to Bali. Was heaven after spending 2 weeks in a straw hut in Tioman, followed by a trip to the hospital in Borneo.

Landed in Bali and took a taxi into Kuta - they weren't lying when they called it Benidorm for the Aussies. It took us an hour to walk to the street where all the guest houses were because the streets were littered with guys carrying surf boards and mopeds driving at you. Eventually found somewhere to stay, but by that point we had already decided we weren't staying any longer than a day and we'd head over to the Gilis - paradise island.
