Still alive and well! Thoroughly enjoying the sun, sand and sea! Went to Mbweni beach just south of stone town for my first sunbathing session since I got here - some of the medical students who're here with Work the World live there. It was cool but not really in comparison to Kendwa where we went for the 'Sauti za Busara' beach party. It was absolutely awesome even if there was too much random music like Barbie girl and an awful lot of Akon, Rihanna, and Madon...

Well it's now been a week since I got here... I can't believe how fast time flys by - nor can I actually believe that I'm Zanzibar. I keep saying to myself 'Where am I?' or 'How earth did I get here?' - it's all very surreal. The music festival is amazing... such an eclectic combination of different sounds. Also you can dance however you want and nobody cares; although some of the moves that people pull would result in a stabbing or mugging if displayed in Glasg...

Haha! Look at that picture - lovely isn't it! Just had a cafe frappe which consisted of coffee, milk, vanilla ice-cream and chocolate syrup for the delightful price of 2 pounds. Enjoying hospital so far as it requires me to put in no effort. Fridays are study days so that's me finished my first week of hospital. Zanzibar! Hey folks! I'm here at last! The plane journey over was something else; the emergency exit on the propeller plane was half hanging off right next to me. Also my seat number 1A didn't exist, much to the amusement of the cabin crew - although they were quite lazy, falling asleep throughout the flight! The car didn't pick me up at the hospital - surprise, surprise! So I had to get a taxi to the hospital and find my accommodation. The accommodation is nic...
