Had our first day of sight-seeing today after sleeping in till after midday (pretty tired after travelling all day yesterday). The apartment is very close to the Vatican so we went there first and had a wander around St. Peter's square - absolutely massive and so impressive! Wow... What a day! I woke up at 7 having not printed boarding passes, no money in my bank account and unaware of what time the taxi was supposed to arrive - not good. Things got worse when two taxis were ordered by accident and one of the drivers started to pick a fight with Phil demanding 5 pounds from him to go away - we hadn't even left Glasgow yet! Still at least the flight to London went without of hitch. Gatwick was a little confusing as we actually managed...

Ok... So I've got about 48 hours before I get on the first plane of the year and I've decided to finally collect things together, decide what I'm taking and start packing.
