G'day Everyone,
After our 3 hour flight from Cairns back to Melbourne we caught the Sky bus into the city. We checked into our hostel then made our way to Transport bar on Fed square.

Our plan was to set Neil up so that him and Kc were totally surprised about our return! Therefore we had planted the seed a week or so before hand and told Neil that Rooster (Paul Ross) was coming over and he was wanting to go out for a drink, so asked if he would meet him. Neil being the nice guy that he is agreed.
So when we (Jamie and I) walked into Transport he was slightly shocked. I actually think he was disappointed that the Rooster wasn't there. After lots of laughing and a cheeky text to Downie (Neil was loving it Jinty!) it was catch up time! The rest of the night was spent boozing, we went to the Sherlock to catch up with Gary, Mel, Chris Roshan and the rest of the crew. Then we had to get Neil to get Kirsteen out so Jamie could surprise her. We went along to Nomads where Neil had managed to get KC out and surprised her to the MAX....All she said for about 1 hour was "I can't believe it, Jamie I can't believe it....ha ha got the "Rats" The rest of our time in Melbourne was pretty much spent catching up with people. We went to the Sherlock on the Friday night for something to eat and a few drinks. On the Saturday night we went out in St Kilda with the Mo trio+3, Gallus, Ben, Lara, Colin, Jo and Tim which ended up being a very messy but awesome night.
On Sunday Jamie and Myself were feeling a tad rough so decided the cinema was the best place. After the cinema we checked out of our hostel and got on the train to Frankston, where Gary picked us up. We went down to McRae to stay with Gary and Mel which was bliss, an amazing double bed and Gary's homemade food including cooked lamb roast, also Mel's natter. On Monday there wasn't much action just chilling out on the sofa all day watching DVD's that Mel looked out for us, we also did some catching up with washing and I of course played a little guitar. At night we cooked dinner for Gary and Mel, made them some haggis with Neeps and Tatties....MMMmmmm On Tuesday it was back to Melbourne to stay with the Mo trio for our last 2 nights. They stay in Elwood which is a good spot. near the Sandringham Line which was my old work line. We went into town during the day to try and buy some jackets for New Zealand. At night we went to Westgarth to See Jo's new shop (A Little Light) which is now in working progress and looking amazing, we joined Jo and the gang for a $10 Pizza and pot. On Wednesday we were back in the town looking for jackets as the day before wasn't a success. We both managed to get jackets which we deffo needed, we realised that once we got to NZ. Jamie then went back to say a sad farewell to everyone and Sherlock and had a coffee with Mama (Mel's mum) and Roshan... That night Jamie, Myself the Mo trio, Neil and Kirsteen went out on Chapel St for dinner and a few drinks to say our goodbyes.

It was an early rise on Thursday 1st of May as we had to catch the 5.00am train into the city to catch the Sky bus to the Airport, from where we were departing to New Zealand. It was quality to be back in Melbourne we are sure it won't be the last time we are there.
