I can only assume that was the best day of Kiefers life then?!
Claire
Noooooo way! I thought I was dreaming when I received Dad's excited text at six something this morning but now I have seen all the datials,it must be true! I can't belive you managed to pin him down, no-one catches Jack, never mind getting a photo with him. Good work team, good work. I am so glad it didn't happen with Rois was napping - she would not have been happy about that! Where does he rate amongst the characters you have met on your trip? up there with Magoo?x
James
Hello again everybody, MASSIVE MASSIVE news:
Well, earlier today while Rois was napping I went on a walk for an hour or so around the block and saw someone who looked like Martin Scorsese and someone who looked like Spike Lee. I thought that would probably be it for celeb spotting. How wrong was I.
Tonight, Rois and I met and had a photo taken with the great Kiefer Sutherland!!!! For those of you who aren't aware, Kiefer (or Keith as we his friends call him), plays Jack Bauer in 24. He's amazing and is a bit of a hero of mine and Rois'. We've been discussing since we got here how Keith would be our top celeb spot if we had a choice, and we only went and met him!!! He was doing a chat show that we tried to get tickets for but instead we went round te back of the building and hung out with some actual professional celebrity stalkers and managed to push to the front for a personal photo. Amazing.
That's all our news for now, will be back on when we've bumped into Bob De Niro or Johnno Depp.
I've attached a photo below so anyone who's not a 24 fan can see just how cool this man really is:
Howdy! Just a quicky ... if anyone out there has any friends / families (or in fact, if WE have any friends / families!) over here in the USA who would be happy to have us for a night or two - in exchange for work or money - PLEASE let us know. Hoping to get blogging / some photos up on here soon - there's no USB access at this hostel. Love to you all xxxxx

I'm delighted that you've arrived safely in the U S of A.When you have tea with Mr BO give him our best. Enjoy the final leg of your tour.
Sorry mate.....more bad news......Leigh Bromby re-signed for the Blades last night which leaves us light in the heart of the defence.....Roisin could you buy James a pair of David Beckham LA chocolate Galaxy boots while you are out there... you may get a game at centre-back James when you return to Hertfordshire.
Finally,James Beattie joined Stoke from the Blades last night for £3.5mn, at least he wont play against us at the weekend.
Have Fun, Take Care,
Lee

So glad to know you're safe and sound in LA - from one surreal environment to another hey! Look after yourselves and have fun - it sounds as though you need it after what you've gone through in Fiji. Tony celebrated his 40th in style - a great party with a champagne reception and on Sunday night we went out dancing. Tony created a new move that I have decided I will call the 'Tigger wiggle' - the photographic evidence will be on Truprint very soon. It was all finished off with a lovely day yesterday - being pampered with a massage and facial in the morning followed by a meal at 'Fishy Fishy' - one of Rick stein's top recommended restaurants in Ireland! Will email properly later but just wanted to say hello and how good it is to hear you are in the US of A. Lots of lovexx
James
Well then, we've arrived in LA and landed about 8 hours before we left Fiji - the date line thing is confusing. We're extremely joyous to be here, Fiji was somewhat disapointing given the cyclone etc. Still, we're here in the US now and are very happy with that.
We're in a hostel just off Hollywood Boulevard, about ten minutes walk from the Kodak (Academy Awards) Theatre and various other cool things. We'll be here until Thursday when we'll probably head up to San Francisco. There are hundreds of brilliantly bad taste t-shirts for sale, our favoureite so far being the black one with a collage of Obama done in red and silver fake diamond studs. Truly awful - we may buy it.
Thankyou all for the lovely and kind messages. Lee, I'm beginning to see your name on the message board and immediately worry. Come back Graham! Also read yesterday that Sir Elton may be coming home too - maybe things are looking up.
Anyway, thankyou all again for the messages, and we'll see you in just a few short weeks!
Take care all, James
PS - Rois' phone doesn't seem to work here so it'll just be email contact for a while we think.

Hi Rois and James
As I write this, hopefully you are a few hours into your long flight to LA and ready to have Monday all over again! We are still in Cork, have had a great weekend. Claire was having a Aveda treatment earlier and then going off to visit Kinsale with Karl. We are with Lucia and Tony and are meeting Susan later this afternoon. Flying back to B'ham tonight. Can't wait to be able to phone you in LA and catch up.
2 months today until you get back - enjoy USA
Love to you both XXXX
Lee
Lost four nil on Friday night at the Madejski again Reading.....we were lucky to get nil.....it was a real relegation looking performance from the Hornets and that's three now in last two weeks. There is talk that Graham Taylor may return to Vicarage Road as a Director...the wobby was full of it in Friday's edition.
It's grey and wet here today at WGC...it's pouring of rain no leaky roofs at present.
Next up Sheffield United home on Sat 17th Jan.
Mind How You Go.....keep dry! Best Wishes Lee
Roisin!!!!
Well thank the LORD. We're back. Don't get us wrong - we're still in Fiji - BUT we've managed to get onto the internet, which is absolutely amazing - believe. What can we say? First of all, THANK YOU ALL SO SO MUCH for the messages - they have retrospectively made our New Years less lonesome. And put huge smiles on our faces. Regarding Fiji, we need probably several blogs. In summary, we're now safe having been stuck on a small Fijian island through a cyclone. There is apparently one due again tomorrow, so we're hoping our flight tonight gets us OUT OF HERE. The weather here has been the worst since 1989 - and seeing as they have a yearly hurricane season that's pretty darn bad. Lay your sympathies with the locals rather than us - they're the ones with flooded homes etc. We have just checked out of our hostel, and plan to go to the airport in plenty of time (of course) before our flight at 11pm. I think of you all every day, and we send all our love. Hey, maybe when we get to USA, we'll tell you about the rest of New Zealand??! Love love xxxxxxxxx
Katy And Brad
Hola from Valencia!
Sorry to hear you have a leaky roof but soon (monday right?) you'll be hopping on a plane to the big USA where hopefully your roof won't be leaky.
Brad spontaneously hopped on a train on Thursday to come visit me and we're having a wonderful time. We spent most of today looking round one of europe's many biggest aquariums (every city seems to claim this title...) impersonating fish and other sea animals. You'll be proud of the amount of posing actually Rois. We're endevouring not to simply smile (remember the night of no smiling? gosh that was a while ago. Corp. Crazy.)
Anyway, can't wait to hear from you when you get a chance after you've arrived in the USA. Safe journey, love you xxxx

For all readers, just thought I'd let you know that I've had a couple of texts from the travellers this morning. They're in the Yasawa group of islands if you want to look it up; its pouring with rain and their roof leaks!! Otherwise, all well.
