James and Dan travel the world
We met the crazy canadian guy called Rahim in Bangkok and havent been able to get rid of him since then. You may recognise him in the photos.
The city is miles away from the blisfull nothing of Laos, so it was an excelent oppertunity to give Rahim a few lessons on how to drink Chang the strong Thai beer. He did not excell!
Spent a whole day in the Chudachuk market which is just massive and really good. It has loads of individual asian designers on well established stalls as well as the usual asian market junk.
Siam square has the finest bowling alley and cinema, probably in the world. To get the bowling shoes you drop a coin in a slot and then the fall out like a vending machine, just amazing. And in the cinema they play the national anthem and everone stands up before the film.
On a more cultural note we visited the grand palace and the 56m long reclining gold budda statue at Wat Pho.
Also had some interesting experiences in Patpong, people that have been to Bangkok will understand this.
