Outback

Einsaleigh is a tiny town with a population of 24. James and I met at least 12 of the population at the pub where we were allowed to sleep the night in the grounds. The locals absolutely loved us being there, mainly for them to talk to us about their lives and how the outback is better than the cities, I am guessing they like having different people to talk to. They tried to convince us to stay until the weekend where the town was holding a rodeo, we compromised and stayed an extra night. The next morning one of the owners of a cattle station came round to pick us up. He spent the whole morning with us and gave us a tour of his very large ranch that is quite possibly the size of Essex! He is also in charge of breeding rodeo bulls and we went to the rodeo field to watch him 'tip' the bulls horns. It was a bit traumatic as the bulls didn't like it much at all but it was over fairly quickly and they showed Glenn (our unofficial tour guide) who was boss in the ring! James even sat on a bull, when it was penned in, but still he was very brave. It was such a good day as Glenn told us all about his life and we saw the typical day of an outbacker! A great experience that money can't buy.
