Koh Phangan Day 4 (13.06.2012). Wonderful day today. We were picked up from 'Lime N Soda' by our tour company 'Safari Boat' and headed for our speed boat and the start of our tour around the Angthong National Marine Park. The park is a protected nature area consisting of over 40 islands, and is famous for its natural beauty. It really is outstanding.
Our first stop was to a coral reef where we snorkelled.. Amazing fish.. wishing we had a underwater camera. Next stop was Ko Mae Ko (Mother Island) where we climbed to the top to find the emerald seawater lake in the middle of the island (featured in the cover photo).
Our boat then travelled past more islands including Monkey Island which does not contain Monkeys but is rather shaped like one. We called at one of the islands for lunch before heading to Koh Wuatalab for a spot of kayaking around some of the smaller islands. Arms exhausted we headed for a rock climb to a cave and a viewpoint at the top of the islands. I still don't know how I made it down in flip flops.. so glad there were ropes!! We did manage to spot monkeys at this stop!
On arrival back at our resort we chilled in the pool and engaged in happy hour once again before hitting the night market for food. Now chilling at the beach bar blogging! We head for Ko Samui in the morning and after spending a few hours there we shall be flying on to Chiang Mai. Right now we really do not want to leave though.
