Well last night it was bye-bye Hong Kong and hello Bangkok. After a lazy Sunday in Hong Kong we said goodbye to our excellent hosts and made for the airport. After a bit of a delay we finally made it to our hotel by the airport in Bangkok at 2:00am. Day 5 (02.06.2012). Having seen the main sights we decided to have a day out at the beach on Lantau Island. Not much to write about today. Nice relaxing beach times... warm sea.. swimming and kajaking were the main activities of the day. We returned back to Hong Kong Island at about 5pm. Hong Kong Day 4 (01.06.2012) Today began with a tram ride to the Statue Square and a walk to the pier whereupon we boarded the Star Ferry at $2 HKD aka 16p this little ride is a bargain and a tourist attraction in its own right. Hong Kong Day 3 (31.05.2012) With sore heads, we pulled ourselves out of bed and wandered to Hong Kong Zoo. After getting lost and struggling with all the hills we finally found it. The Zoo is completely free and the enclosures etc are so much nicer than those I have encountered at home. Amazing setting.. with fastest tortoise I have ever seen. Next stop, the Peak Tram!
