And so the final day came - we got up at 4am and left camp by 5. We had to wait in line to get on the trail until 5.30am and then it was an hour walk a bit in the dark to the Sun gate to get our first sight of Machu Picchu. The walk was OK - a little scary in the dark as it was a long way down. Jacqui was not feeling too bad but not the best: More pills from Roberto to see her through the day It is hard to explain the feeling when you see Machu Picchu. Jacqui was like - OK thats nice but after a break she realised how nice to was. The city sits on the middle of the mouains surrounded by more mountains and is huge!!!!! Neen and his mum and a few other decided to climb up the Picchu to ge t a better view - but the rest of us had a great tour with Roberto around Machu Pichu - he knows so much its like you are living there with him. We had a great 2 and half hour tour around the sight and we did not see it all. The we headed off down to Aguas Calientes - the place of the hot spa. We left Euge up there having fun with the camera and exploring. A few of us headed down to soak in the spa!!! Then the nightmare came - our train was only leaving at 8.30pm and it was late by 30 minutes. We arrived in Ollantaytambo at 11.30pm and then had a two hour bus ride back to Cusco!!!! We all arrived tooo tired to say the least!!!!!
