Happy birthday Anna/ Jacqs Mum!!!!
So today we decide to explore Brooklyn today, the train takes us all the way to Jay Street station the journey is hilarious! We seem to have been joined by someone with multiple personalities - he's literally having 3 conversations with imaginary friends as if they were surrounding him, he's even waiting for them to respond - it's entertaining to say the least! After a couple of coffees, we make tracks stopping at the Brooklyn Tabernacle Church which hosts a Grammy Award Winning choir that we bloody missed! So, it's onto Brooklyn Bridge, literally. The bridge is fab we walk to the Manhattan side taking about 40 mins at a casual pace. It's scary to think that someone jumps this on average every 15 days - it's pretty famous for its jumpers. The views are spectacular.
We head back into town via the 911 memorial, you simply can't walk past it without paying your respects - it's gets us every time too it's so heart-breaking. Tonight, our Airbnb host is cooking up a Persian dinner and has friends over - we make it back around 8pm and have a great night wolfing down the lemon chicken and rice and laughing away at John John - he's so funny - his friends are great too and really welcoming. We sit and watch a movie afterward called Centurion - Jacq watches from behind a cushion - it's pure gore!
