After a long drive and an overnight stop we finally arrived at Uluru. We have been watching the sun set on Uluru, watching Aboriginal dancing and learning to throw boomerangs and spears. We also hired bikes and rode 10 km around Uluru. There was lots of deep sand which made it harder than normal. The first sunset was not very good but the second was great. Today we toured Tom's working opal mine. It was underground. A man called Charlie gave us a tour. There was a big pipe thing that sucked up all the dirt and rocks and stuff and it all came out the top and made a big pile of dirt. There was also a big machine that unfortunately was really badly bogged but everything still worked, it had some blades that spun around and cut into the rock wall. On Saturday we headed off to start the Oodnadatta track. It was very windy. We saw giant sculptures, natural springs, wedge tailed eagles and Lake Eyre South. The lake didn't have any water but it did have lots and lots of salt that we licked. We stopped for the night at Coward Springs. They have made a tiny spa out of an old bore that we swam in. Today we went for a walk up into Wilpena pound. Then we had lunch and went to Parachilna Gorge to set up for the night. We climbed a hill and chased the goats down the hill. Then we got some fire wood and had a fire. The next day we drove to Marree and went to the pub for tea.

Today we are at Rawnsley park Station, we went on a driving tour of the area. First we went to sacred canyon and saw rock engravings. Then we drove through two gorges and saw amazing scenery! Then we went to Paracilna pub and I ate a DELICIOUS camel burger. Then we went to Blinman copper mine and I got SO much copper!then that night I watched Harry Potter and the half blood prince.
