Today we went to the Alice Springs reptile centre. I got to hold a blue tongue, a bearded dragon and a olive Python. We also saw a saltwater croc called terry that was three metres long and some other snakes and geckos. We learnt so many facts about them. After that we noticed that the Ghan was in the Station. We went to have a look and got talking to the the train manager. She then offered us our own guided tour which was great.

Today we went for a drive to Ellery Creek big hole and had morning tea. We didn't swim because it was too cold. After that we drove to Standley Chasm and walked up through the high chasm and then had lunch. The chasm was 80 m high and 8 m wide. Then we went to Serpentine gorge and walked down it and we came to another waterhole. When we got back we heard that someone had gone missing. Yesterday on the drive to Ormiston Gorge we stopped for lunch at Gosse Bluff which is a million year old crater that was caused by a comet. When we got to Ormiston gorge I walked up a hill that had spinafex all the way up it and I got spiked. There was a FREEEEEEEEEEEZING waterhole and a walk around the gorge.This afternoon at 3 : 30 we went to a talk with the ranger. They talked about animals and how to track them. Today we did a bush walk around the rim of Kings Canyon. We saw huge cliffs, small lizards, big, deep water holes, ripples engraved on rocks from the inland sea and and the DEEP canyon. It's probably the best bush walk so far. It was really steep at the beginning and 6km long. We were all tired by the end.

Today we went to the Olgas, they are lots of separate hills of little rock stuck together to make a big hill unlike Uluru that has a hard sandstone type of thing. We also did a 5km walk through the gorges. It was annoying because of the flies. I killed about a million flies. The Olgas were very tall and round.
