A few sweaty busses later we arrived at dusk in Palolem. Before we even stood from our seats a chap jumped on and sold us a beach hut for the night, we weren't really sure what to expect for his £1offer. Turned out to be a basic hut on stilts, large be with nice mosquito net and attached bathroom! Bargain, considering it was on the beach.
Palolem beach at night is stunning. Candle lit tables twinkle the whole length of the beach. Something really special about sitting and eating a few feet from the sea with your feet in the sand, watching the quiet few stole in the surf at sun down.
Palolem beach in the day was a lovely place to spend a few hours swimming and reading. Small fishing boats to give some shade, a nice sea breeze an clean Arabian sea. I spent most of Mt time in the water as Hannah enjoyed reading on the beach. As soon as I left her to go swimming she would get swarmed with jewellery sellers.
We went on a long old walk to find a highly recommended cafe called "Home", which apparently had the best chocolate brownies in India! It took us a few sweaty hours until we finally found home, and after sharing a browny well worth the walk, we had an amazing sun set across this northern beach where home was located.
