We left Koh Lanta and had one night in Krabi. From there we headed to Railay, which is at the tip of a peninsula of the mainland, but you can only get there by boat. We arrived (soaking wet, it's just a small boat and the sea was a bit rough!) and found an excellent guesthouse for only 200baht again, and it had a lovely swimming pool too.
It was quiet here aswell, but not quite as quiet as Koh Lanta. We took a walk around, the beaches there are gorgeous, and we got some really good weather, it only rained a few times. One of the beaches has wild monkeys there, if you have a banana they will come and take it from you!! Railay is famous for rock climbing, we didnt do any (we're both far too unfit!) but there were lots of people doing it, and the rocks themselves are pretty amazing just to look at (you'll see from the pictures, i'm not just some wierdo who likes rocks...!).
We spent 3 nights there, and headed back to the mainland (Krabi) and got a bus to Trang. There was absolutely nothing going on in Trang (at all!!) so we spent the night watching TV!! I think we were in a sleazy area, all the bars had blacked out windows.... so we didnt really want to go out! This was just an overnight stop to break up our journey to KL anyway!
