We decided to head straight for Koh Lanta from Krabi, as there wasn't much going on there. We took a minibus (which actually had to go on 2 boats aswell) to get there. When we arrived, we arrived in the main backpacker beach, which was completely deserted!! We tried to find acommodation but they were all closed because it was the low season.

We found a place a little further along eventually, and had a beach bungalow for only 200baht per night because it was low season! These usually go for about 1500baht per night - score! To make things better, the weather had picked up, so we spent a couple of days at the pool.

We were going to stay there for about 5 nights, but one night we bought some beer from the shop (it was half the price than from the bar there) and drank it in the common area - one of the locals wasn't happy about it, and started swearing at Jack, saying we had to buy beer from them - if they'd told us nicely (we didnt know!!) then it would have been fine, but because they got agressive we left the next day, which was a shame, becase we'd made friends with a guy from Kirkcaldy!! (where my mum and dad live)!!!
