Today we landed in kuala lumper at just after seven am and we were both shattered. We decided to hang around the airport and chill out as we were coming back to Malaysia and were both pooped. The air port was lovely... Very clean and very friendly, we sauntered around the shops initially and had some breakfast... Burger King being the cheapest option lol... Steven was very happy about this as he happily munched his whopper.
After breakfast we headed to the lounge to chill out... There are three lounges where a number of leather couches surround numerous Samsung televisions, one lounge is news, one is sports and the third is movies. We curled up in the news section and watched some telly, read books and dozed. During one point in the afternoon we jumped on the mono rail and headed to the main terminal which was actually a lot smaller then the terminal where we were. The airport is really nice... And probably one of the nicest places we have been holed up haha. There was jewellery shops everywhere with very expensive diamonds... One I tried on was one and a half carats for a mere twenty one thousand pounds haha! A girl can dream.
The day passed rather quickly and I wasn't long before we were heading to the gate and boarding the flight to Beijing. We were more pleasantly surprised by this flight as it was a much newer plane, this meant the televisions worked and we were able to chill out and watch movies. Steven looked so cute curled up under his blanket like a little old man... We hasn't even taken off yet! Once we were in the air we were given beers and then the air hostess came back and offered us his remaining beers... Probably thought typical Brits. Steven declined though, surprisingly! And settled down to watch a dark night rises I the fifth time...
We sat at watched various movies and read our books... We were given a delicious dinner of noodles and the scrummiest cake! Then later they gave us sandwiches which we put in our bags for breakfast. About thirty mins before landing a very serious announcement came in regards to Chinese immigration... Wow it was scary and very serious! It gave us very strict instructions on what to not bring into China... Also if you have been coughing, vomiting or had a cold then to tell immigration and you would be checked over and potentially will be quarantined eeks! We then decided to munch our sandwiches! After we were thoroughly freaked out by immigration we got ready for landing... The captain came on the speaker asking for a special request, we missed most of what he said but heard a couple of seat numbers and something about asking someone to marry someone else... We assumed someone was proposing but there wasn't any excitement or anything lol... Even now we don't know wether she said yes haha.
We landed and after waiting a lifetime for the plane to be ready for us to disembark... We headed out into the crisp Chinese night... We were in our tee shirts and kept getting concerned Chinese people asking if we were cold. We had to explain our hoodies were in our main bags which we would hopefully be seeing soon. We headed to wards immigration with baited breath and stood in the queue for ages waiting to be seen... Then the whole process was actually quite painless and we were free to get our bags and head to arrivals where we were met by a local Chinese man with no English... He said geckos and we said yes then headed out into the minus twelve degree cold! Freeeeeeeezing... We jumped in the car and were on our way. By now it was nearly two am and we were shattered. The journey didn't take too long and we enjoyed looking out the window at our new surroundings. It was so clean and quiet... Everyone had lane discipline and the hotels were all nicely lit... We even went past a Tiffany and co which was pretty cool. We arrived at the hotel and checked in to our room and after realising he shower wasn't gong to warm up we fell into bed and promptly fell asleep... By this point we had been awake for over forty ho
