We are now in Amsterdam ... We arrived yesterday evening and walked through the streets to our houseboat - which is just fantastic! It's like a home from home and especially after the tree house was a sight for sore eyes! Crisp white sheets, clean towels, running water, electricity ... Heaven! We have had the most amazing 2 days! We left paris at the crack of dawn and got the train to charleville-mezieres which turned out to be a gorgeous old town. We had a few hours there during which time I managed to do some shopping and we somehow acquired a 5th travelling companion - a very cute and friendly wizard puppet named Albert! Did I mention he's almost as big as Eliza? From Charleville we had to travel about 25 miles out of town to get to our tree house...

We've done our first train journey and made it here i one piece! It's a gorgeous town and we've had a lovely day - we've even acquired a wizard puppet!! Don't ask! Now we're off to the tree house ...

We have just finished packing our rucksacks because we are leaving Paris tomorrow! It's late but I just wanted to fill you in on another amazing day! I can't tell you how lucky I think we are to have been able to see some of the most famous things in the world today ... The Louvre. The Mona Lisa. The Venus de Milo and The Georges Pompidou Centre. As well as having some of the best falafel in the world! The kids were amazing and walked miles around the Louvre ...
