So where were we, oh yeah, last tuesday! that was a day to remember we went to this pool party because of a friend of a friend! Ed, a guy we met through Hannah (an oz intro girl), picked us up from the Freeman's house which was cool and drove us to the house picking up Hannah and Rose on the way! we went to the posh area of Mosman. The house was amazing it included a pool, tennis court, 4 floors and a lift, not to mention the "brain" which controlled security, music, lights and more! crazy! the tour took a good half an hour! Anyway we chilled out a the pool, having drinks, playing pull and a bit of tennis. However the tennis was difficult as the ground was so hot you had to keep hoping about! We had a lunch of salad and sauage which was good. It was cool to meet some Australian people, they all seemed cool.We left about 6 and were dropped back at our door, thanks Ed!
The next was pretty overcast and I had promised Inga that we would go see New Moon as we had meant to see it in London. So we managed to navigate our way to the local cinema in Chatswood. The cinema was nice and the movie was great, especially, Jacob's body (the ladies will know what i am talking about)! We cooked supper that night, wraps, chicken, salad, avocado, pepper which was actually quite good if we say it ourselves!
Alex Young, a school friend of mine (Rose) took us to Palm beach on Friday. It was good to see her again. We actually went to the wrong beach to start off with, the Australian's don't even know their way around the country as it is so big!!! We ended up at whale beach as had a swim and did a bit of sun baking (as they call it here) or sun burnig even though sun cream was liberally applied! In the afternoon we went over to Palm beach was, well another beautiful beach! we then went back to Alex's house and chilled there for a while.
On Saturday yet another taxing beach....haha. this time Manly beach, which is top of our list of Sydney Beach. it was a huge beach and we(hannah, Rose, Ed, Jabow and Matt) were planning on going surfing but unfortunately the waves were rubbish and so we just ate strawberries, crisps and choc biscuits and listened to music. The worst is when some random waves their towel as sand goes flying into your face...not cool! one of the horrors of Australia! Another HORROR i don't think we have mentioned yet is the spider we saw in the kitchen which was about the size of the palm of your hand, not huge, but Inga thought it was "massive", but it was only a huntsman(harmless), we named it Albert to make him/her seem more human and less scary! Eventually he left and we, thankfully, haven't seen him since. After the beach we (Inga, me and Ed) went for supper to the local chinese, the rice kitchen, which was good. Ed and i had sweet and sour pork and Inga had duck! we also sampled some chinese tea which i liked but Inga's face told differently!
On Sunday Isabella kindly took us (again Inga, Ed and me) to Bondi Market which was interesting selling mainly clothes and stuff. Inga and I only brought 1 braclet each which was pretty restrained. Then we had an ice cream on the beach, watching the thousand of people sitting on the famous Bondi beach. After we went back to Ed's cousin house(he is from London) and had a swim in the pool. Having a nice family meal with the Freeman's in the evening, excellent cooks, thank you!
Today we have just chilled out and sorted out cv's, personal statements, xmas cards and taking the dog, Rusty, sooooooo cute, on a walk. Tomorrow we are off to the zoo which we are both really excited about!!!
