We've been in Carrabelle waiting for good weather to cross the Big Bend. Its looking like we will leave tomorrow afternoon (Friday) and anchor out in the bay that night. This will give us a jump on the 32 hour crossing starting Saturday at 7AM. The weather is supposed to be OK Saturday and Sunday. We are anchored out in the Apalachicola river next to Apalachicola. We've been working on a few things... We were going to dingy into town and buy a new cell phone. Because our Virgin Mobile phone doesn't have service here... We get the dingy blown up and the motor on it. The motor starts, but was gushing gacoline out of the carbuerator. I take the carburator off and found the float valve was stuck. But it still wasn't running properly. Gave up on it for ...

We'll leave Panama City tomorrow morning (Tuesday). Then its off to Apalachicola and Carrabelle. Then the big jump across to Tarpon Springs. Its been fun here in PC. We're going to be serious travelers from now on. We want to cross over to the Bahamas by Christmas. We made a lot of great friends here in Panama City. We survived Claudette just fine. We are taking down the solar panels, bimini and sails and are heading back to Colorado on Thursday. We love Snug Harbor marina. Have made lots of really good friends. Just got back from a great party with new friends, Rick and Lucienda. Thanks for everything, we had a great time. Hopefully we'll be back in time for the Flogging party and get to see your band. We got up this morning and there was a tropical storm warning for our area. So we hoisted the anchor and went to the Snug Harbor Marina in Panama City. Tropical Storm Claudette hasn't quite gotten here yet, but we are safely tied up with land nearby.
