Ian & Claire's Adventure
We got up early to get a smooch from the elephant but it was india day so he wasnt there. We walked over the hill again to see the rest of the ruins and views. We then walked past the main river past people swimming/washing/doing laudry and went through the banana plantation to the mango tree, a great cafe on a hill overlooking the paddy fields (and a huge mango tree providing shade), we ate and chilled for a while. It seems to be getting hotter and hotter here so we went and spoent a few hours reading in our fan cooled room.
On our final day in Hampi we went to the main temple and finally got to meet the elephant and each had a smooch (blessing) for 2 rupees. This time we paid for a guided tour although much of the religious side went over our heads, too many gods and reincarnations, it was very informative though.
