Down the road we bought some lunch and then headed out of Port PIrie to Port Broughton. I did the booking this time (Kathy) and we are now booked into a nice park right opposite the pool close to the amenities. We will probably spend a few days here. The boat might see the water again here. We have now been here a few days and the boat has been in the water a few times. We left Port Disgusta this morning and took a look at Port Germein. A nice little place but not much there. The next one is Port Pirie where we intended to stay, maybe for about 5 days. That was until we arrived at the caravan park with the receptionist from hell! No you cannot leave you little dog in your van at night while you go and have a meal down town, no you cannot leave your dog outside under your awning (on a lead) while you go to the supermarket......

Port Augusta......we renamed it Port Disgusta!!! Not a place we would visit again. Especially the caravan parks. The one we would have stayed in didnt allow dogs so we chose the Port Augusta Caravan Park which we thought would be the one most would attend given the name. After leaving Coober Pedy we thought we might stop off and have a look at Woomera. Well what a disappointment. It looked like a ghost town. It was definately a military location and nothing else. We took a couple of photos and then took off.......couldnt wait to get out of there.

Another big day on the road, travelling long distances with nothing to see, boy this country is huge. We finally arrive at Coober Pedy. What an amazing place this is. Driving into Coober all you see are piles of white sand/rock or whatever, that have been dug or blasted out to see if opals are possible.
