We met some lovely people along the way, Rex and Betty who live in Horsham. They invited us to come and visit and stay at their place when we get close to Melbourne. After leaving Portland we stopped off at Narrawong to drop of a little baggie of white stuff that resembled drugs, to the police. Well we have crossed the boarder and are now in Victoria. Our first stop was Portland and it didnt disappoint. A lovely town, filled with lovely old buildings, grassy slopes to the waters edge, a huge port and boat harbour and in general a very picturesque place.

After leaving Murray Bridge we travelled to Meningie where we stopped (again) at the bakery for coffee and a pastie as the weather is really cool. Then onto Kingston through the Coorong area. Kingston is known for its fresh lobsters. People travel hours to come and get their fresh lobster. Last night we went into Murray Bridge for dinner at the Bridgeport Hotel. We had a lovely dinner and really enjoyed our rare night out. Today we drove to Mannum which is about 35km from Murray Bridge, just for the day. We walked the main street and the foreshore and got a feel for the place talking to locals.
