After driving for what seems like forever, we come across the Devils Marbles. Out in the middle of nowhere, these amazing huge rocks balance on each other. There are hundreds of them. It was fun walking through them all. They also have a campground at the site but it was too early for us to stop......so off we go

Further down the road we go....not much on this road to Alice. We spent the night at Renner Springs where about 4 Peahens and two Peacocks roamed around very friendly. They came right up to the caravan door. Allen was trying to shoo them away lol.....without much success! Nice overnight spot....nothing else here just the ducks and other foul.

From Adelaide River we drove on through Hayes Creek, Pine Creek then to Katherine for some supplies, after lunch we took off again and stopped at Mataranka. Mataranka has natural springs which are crystal clear and we had a swim to cool us down. Daly Waters is known for it Pub and it is well worth the visit. We have been here before and thought we would include it in our trip this time around also. The Pub has hundreds of bras hanging over the bar, thongs everywhere, tshirts hang around the walls, funny signs surround the place, and where ever you look there is something to take a photo of. After driving into Darwin and finding no joy from the caravan parks there because we have a dog, and being told we cannot enter a shire reserve where they have camping, because we have a van with a pop top roof!!!! We felt very unwelcome and decided to leave and forget about Darwin. We drove to Adelaide River and booked into the caravan park behind the pub and service station and Oh what a joy!!!
