Boy was I glad to get out of Adelaide. Too much traffic for my liking, I think I have developed an aversion to cities. We left Adelaide this morning and travelled to a quaint little town called Hahndorf, the olders German town in Australia. It has tree lined streets that canopy the road, some of them jacarandas in bloom. There are lots of unusual little shops to explore and german beers and bubs everywhere, as well as german sausages!! We couldnt find anywhe...

We woke this morning in Ardrossan to a wonderfully sunny calm day but had already arranged our move onto Adelaide. Lovely weather all day today. We booked into a park about 20km from the city. It is a really big park, quite nice and we have a great spot. I did the washing and then we caught up with Trevor, our friend from Carnarvon bowls. It was good to see him again. Allen and Trevor set about fixing the kitchen sink and after a bit of man power, succeeded...

After a lovely day tripping through a few towns on the Yorke Penninsula, we settled for Ardrossan to stay for the night. Allen decided to go to the jetty and drop a few crab nets to try his luck. It was freezing so he rugged up and off he went. He was gone for hours but eventually returned home about 11pm with about a dozen crabs! He was one happy chappy! Needless to say, this is not an overnight stay now, it has turned into at least a 3 day stay.

Moving on from Wallaroo, we toured Moonta and Port Hughes.....nothing much here so just took a couple of photos at the jetty where the tide was out big time!

After leaving Port Broughton and saying goodbye to a bunch of lovely people that are now our friends, we headed only about 50km south to Wallaroo. It is a much bigger place than Port Broughton but definately not as nice. The town was having road works down the main street and the streets are all over the place, a big of a mish mash town. We found a nice bakery and had lunch and strolled the jetty and spent a few hours there. I have definately taken a dislike ...
