We arrived in Alice on the 25th Oct and set up at the Heritage Caravan Park as they are the only ones in town that allow dogs. Two others also allow dogs but are about 10km further out of town.
After setting up we visited Anzac Hill which overlooks Alice and was amazing. Alice is surrounded by a mountain range on all sides, with a gap cut through the rock to travel south and out of town.....truely amazing.
Then we rang Lorrie, our friend we met in Bali, to find out the van park she lives in and it turns out it is just over the road! So last night we had drinks at our van with Lorrie, from about 3pm till 10pm.........forgot dinner!! A neighbour also joined us and it was a nice balmy evening.
Today we visited the Todd Steet Mall Markets that are on from time to time. A nice stroll looking at the amazing indiginous stuff and other articles, but we were more interested in breakfast so we stopped off at the Red Dog Cafe for bacon, scrambled eggs, tomato, sausages and toast with juice and coffee. Lovely Sunday.
This afternoon we took our drinks to Lorrie's place and met some of her friends. She is planning to retire in a year and move to Bali!
Pizza for dinner and home to rest.
