First of all, sorry for not uploading as frequently as I used to do. Guess it is different now that when we have nothing to do we entertain ourselves better than when I was alone. I will try to catch up as soon as I can!
On the morning of the 8th I left Greenway by minivan to go to the airport to pick up Ryanne. I was excited ofcourse, but also a bit nervous to meet up with her again. It has been 4,5 months so we would need time to get used to each other again and to see what things about us have changed in that period of time. It seemed like hours that I was waiting in the international arrival hall but it probably was just one. It was great to finally have her in my arms again.
We went to the Jasmin Grand Residence, a 5* hotel where I booked two nights for us to have some luxury time. It had 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and 2 big flatscreens in the suite. After a day of relaxation we got some pizzas and the next day we went to the weekend market. It was said to be really good but after an hour we were already done with it.
When we needed to check out of the hotel we moved to the best place ever. Ryanne had arranged a night in the Lebua State Tower. This hotel was used in the Hangover part 2 movie and I already went up the skybar for the view on my first visit in BKK. On arrival we decided to upgrade to the 'High Tower Club' which gave us a suite on the 59th floor, an awesome high tea and drinks (including cocktails till 6 and the minibar.
After the high tea, which was basically our dinner, we went upstairs to the skybar to enjoy the view. We went back to our suite to enjoy the amazing view as well. Unfortunately, we needed to check out the day after. There was a breakfast buffet with everything you can imagine, even sushi. After checking out we could still use the gym and the swimming pool.
We got ourselves tickets for the nightbus to Koh Phangan, home of the notorious full moon parties, down in the South of Thailand. The 3 days of luxury time were ofcourse too short but after all we are backpackers so on we went!
