The night bus to Bangkok was actually pretty cool since they showed some movies in the early hours. The bus stopped near Khoasan Road, the bar street in Bangkok. Philipp had a hostel nearby and I found one by just walking around as well. After some extra hours of sleep, I arrived at 05:30, and a shower it was time to meet up with Philipp and Tina, his girlfriend. Tina arrived on the 15th of February to travel for 10 days with Philipp to the beaches.
We just walked around town a bit, talking about our travels seperately from each other. I was curious after how Tina has experienced her time in Thailand since it was her first time out here. P&T wanted to do some shopping so we spent most of our time at Khoasan Road where it is full of little shops and stalls. In the afternoon we had some time apart and then we met up for some dinner and we played some pool. Then P&T left for the airport to catch their flight.
When I arrived back at the hostel I felt a bit sad and lonely. Maybe it was the fact that P&T were finally reunited after being seperate for a long time, or maybe it was annoying that I was alone again. Everytime you meet a cool person you get to a point where you have to say goodbye again. Unexpectly Aly and Luke (the same as in Sapa and Luang Prabang!) sent me a message on facebook, asking if I was in Bangkok. They said that they were going to meet up with Jamie (Sapa as well) at Khoasan Road. I was tired and didn't feel like going but I thought that I could use some distraction. I'm glad I did.
The "reunion" was a lot of fun and Jamie knew a good place to go for a strong bucket. We talked about our time together and what we did in between, and about life. Guess we had enough alcohol in us to get to that stage. We also had a waterpipe and after a while we went into a club where we partied until it closed down. I ended up in bed around 05:00 after a great night and the next day I planned to go to Singburi to the voluntary organisation.
