Scotia and Emma

Welcome to our travel blog! We are Scotia and Emma and we are so thrilled to be sharing our travel adventures with you all! We'll try to keep things entertaining... While many details of our trip, as in day to day activities, won't be planned so far in advance, the following is a loose, but probable itinerary:

Sept 5th: Emma leaves for Buenos Aires, Argentina! She will be staying with some friends in the city for the month of September until Scotia arrives.

Sept 28th:Scotia leaves for Buenos Aires, Argentina!

We will both be staying in Argentina for the first 3 weeks of October, taking language classes, traveling around, eating lots of great food, and having an amazing time seeing as much as we can see and absorbing their wonderful culture.

The end of October, we will be heading over to Santiago, Chile, where we will be staying with lovely family friends of ours! We'll spend about a week in the city until we travel to our WWOOF destination of choice for 2 weeks.

For those of you who don't know, WWOOF is an organization that facilitates travelers to work on family farms in exchange for room and board. Which is great not only because it saves us some money, but we as well get a chance to live with a local family and to learn how farming works in Chile!

At this point, we were planning to travel south through Patagonia as far as we choose to get in the next 5-ish weeks. We will go hiking and enjoy the beautiful mountains and towns there! As well we will hopefully visit Scotia's cousin who is teaching kayaking in the area. We are super excited for this section of the trip, as we both love the outdoors and can't wait to go exploring and hiking in one of the most beautiful mountain ranges in the world!

After this, we'll have to make our way back to Buenos Aires for our return flight home on christmas!

This brings us to the second section of the trip!

Jan 8th: Scotia and Emma board flight to India (some many many hours/days later arrive in Chennai)

At this point we will be spending a good month working and living on a Kibbutz called Sadhanna Forest with Emma's good friend Adrianne. As far as we know, its a community full of travelers and locals that all contribute to farming, re-foresting and keeping the community running. We will have jobs for more than half of every day. It is a great opportunity for us to meet some great people and to have a place to live where we can absorb the culture of the area!

After this we split paths: Emma traveling on around India with Adrianne, and Scotia with her father who will be visiting for a few weeks.

After that Emma goes home, and Scotia spends a few months exploring around Europe! She hopes to visit France, Italy, Greece, Luxembourg and who knows! Her mom will come visit for a week or two, and then home to Toronto mid May!

We will keep you up to date on all of this, and will fill you in on all the little details as they unfold!
