Finally made it on to the bus having braved the 'papasi' at Ubongo bus station. The journey from Dar es Salaam to Moshi in the North of Tanzania was due to take 6/7 hours. We have now left behind our luxury hotel and moved to the other side of the island to the capital of Zanzibar, Stone Town which is a world heritage site. Arrived in Zanzibar after an slightly hectic flight via Nairobi and Mobassa, tired, dazed and slightly confused and 3 visa stamps in about 24 hours. A very bumpy drive through the jungle brought us to our hotel only to find it was closed, fortunately for us we were upgrated to the 5* hotel next door! A truely luxurious start to our trip.
