Today was a rather relaxed day just hanging around most of the time. A short walk here, a nap there, all was right with the world. We had an early supper at Ruby Tuesdays which was tasty.

We then put our Jets garb on and left to watch to go watch the Winnipeg Jets beat the Nashville Predators. Upon arriving at the arena, we noticed a canopy with a yellow carpet underneath it and 2 men standing guard, we proceeded to walk under the canopy but were told that we couldn't. I was shocked that they wouldn't let us walk the yellow carpet, so then we saw a young man collecting money for cancer for the childrens' hospital. As we donated money, we told him that we were not allowed to walk the yellow carpet, so he went to the 2 men and told them that since we had donated some money, we should be allowed to walk under the canopy. Then, one of the men gave me his arm and escorted me under the canopy, I felt like a celebrity walking the red carpet, so I waved as the queen would wave.

The game was good, we scored a goal, all was good, then the Predators scored a goal, and everyone jumped up, cheered and turned to look at us, gloating. As we were sitting there, wallowing in sadness, the ref decided that the goal was not legit, at which point we jumped up and started cheering, and gloating. Alas, our glee was cut short as the game started up again and the Predators scored for real this time. This all happened within a matter of 2 minutes, it was quite funny actually. As I walking around during intermission, I stopped to talk to 3 men in Jets jerseys, they were all from Winnipeg, when I told them that I was from St.Adolphe, one of them mentioned that he had dated our new female mayor of St.Adolphe, small world. As most of you know, our Jets did not beat the Predators, but it was a close game with 2-1.

Harry has learned that oranges really don't agree with him anymore, as he has been in and out of the bathroom since we returned from the game. And for those of you who know of some of my passions when I camp, you'll be glad to that I was in my glory today while doing 2 loads of laundry.
