Hey all,

We drove from the Tyrol region of Austria to Prague today, stopping off on the way at the Mathausen concentration camp! A very sobering experience. It was NASTY! We watched a video about the camp and then got to walk around the grounds and into some of the bunkers including the gas chambers and the crematorium. It was not a big oven (like dad would struggle to fit in there) and apparntly at the end they were burning 10 people at a time. It was sickening!

It was one of the biggest labour camps and it had these huge uneven steps they made the prisoners walk up chained to each other carrying massive rocks on there backs, i struggled to walk down them without falling so im b*****ed if i know how they managed it. Hence most of them tripped and dragged like 50 other guys with them to there death.

When we left the camp, the guides put a funny movie on, on the bus for us to watch to lift our spirits a wee bit.

We carried on into Prague, arriving early evening where we had tea and then had to go on a night tour (walking), we were all pretty tired to so as soon as that finished we were off to bed.

Next day we had a bit of a sleep in b4 heading into Prague which has some real cool architecture, alot of it is gothic and it has heaps of castles and stuff. It also had a real insane currency - the krown which was in like 1000 dollar notes and stuff which freaked me out when i paid 500 for a big mac combo!

That night we had more than a few bevvys and hit the town, Prague is known to be the night life capital of the world! We went to this awesome underground bar, it was like a cave inside and had real cool lights and stuff. I drank cocktails most the night and spent well over 2000 krown haha.

Unfortunatly we had our first run in with criminals that night, three of the girls on the tour got there wallets, phones, cameras and passports taken out of there bags that theyd left on the table. And u guys all thought that us naive country girls would be the one to get our s*** stolen!! haha we prooved you wrong. (well soo far neway)!

Got to bed about 3am, so once again a verz nasty hangover
