Bula!
Well our time at the beautiful Outrigger Resort is about to come to an end, I arrived last thursday morning, and after a day of laxing by the pool I tidied myself up and awaited Miltons arrival. Not surprisingly he was on Fiji time and was running late.
Our first day at the Island together we just mucked around by the pool most of the day, getting a bit of a tan and indluging in some delicious cocktails and too much food. There are four main resturants and five bars at the resort and despite them being quite pricey there all really good.
Saturday we spent most of the day laxing at the resort, then we got picked up at 4pm to go on a night cruise to Robinson Cursoe Island for a Lovo Buffet and Fire Dancing. When we got to our boat we cracked up, it was a crappy tin boat and i shat myself that we had to go in the ocean in it. But we managed to make it to the Island, getting to see a very nice sunset on the way. The buffet was awesome, just like a hangi only not as smokey. And the fire dancing was amazing, wish i could shake my hips like that.
Sunday we spent at the resort again eating, drinking, swimming, hitting golf balls at the driving range. It was really hot that morning and then it pissed down that afternoon.
Monday we got up early and went on a day trip to South Sea Island where we got a bbq lunch, could drink unlimited beer and go snorkling. We then had an afternoon boat cruise around some of the other islands including Plantation, Bounty, Mana, Hideaway and Beachcomber. We had tea and a bucket of heineken at the Hard Rock Cafe in Denaru before heading back to our resort in the pouring rain.
Tuesday we did our practise dive in the pool at the resort with Ed, I was a bit nervous and my ears didnt equalize properly so I was a bit scared about doing the real thing the next day in the Ocean at a reef. We went to frog racing that night.
Wednesday our last day in Fiji, we went and did our dive, it was awesome, we back rolled off the boat and then went down a rope to a coral wall where we swam along, about 5m deep. We seen two white tip reef sharks, a turtle, heaps of awesome fish including nemo (clown fish). That avo we packed before heading down to the International Crab race which we got 2nd in and made $30.
Thursday we spent all day flying and finally got home at 8pm. The end of an amazing holdiay, one ill never forget!
