Day 9 - Geneva
Today was our last day at Geneva. It was also the last day of Emma's orientation programme. In fact, it was not full day training for her; she came back to the hotel at about 1030am. As for how my morning was spent, I just had my breakfast and as expected, it was a quick one with Benji around.
After Emma came back, she spent some time packing the luggages while I entertained Benji. At about 1130am plus, we took the tram to Emma's office to meet with the rest of her colleagues as we adjourned to......
Domaine de Chateauvieux restaurant for lunch. It was a two-Michelin starred restaurant, located at the countryside area of Geneva. Lunch menu was relatively cheaper compared to dinner menu; that would mean lesser course as well. We had, once again, great food and wine. At the end of lunch, we even took a photo with the chef. I'd never thought that we would lavish so much on meals in this trip but I guess it was the experience to remember, having dined at various Michelin starred restaurants.
After lunch, we took a cab back to the hotel. We then went to a nearby watch shop - La Maison De L'Horlogerie - where I got myself a Tissot watch for momento. We then proceeded to Manor, a shopping mall, where we shopped for gifts for family, friends, colleagues and clients. When we were done shopping, we went back to the hotel, dropped the stuff, and then met the rest of the guys for dinner.
It was at a Chinese restaurant near Hotel Rotary where we stayed. As one of Emma's colleague wasn't feeling well, we didn't linger after dinner but instead came back to the hotel with her almost straight after we were done. Thank God she was fine; nothing really too serious.
Back in our room, we continued with the rest of our packing. We took about an hour plus to complete the packing.
Geneva is a beautiful place. Not that I have visited the various tourist attractions to warrant me to say that. In fact, we went around Geneva mainly by foot. Perhaps it was the people whom I met that made it beautiful. Or the gastronomical feasts that we had. Perhaps, it could even be the iconic fountain at Lake Geneva that never fail to beckon me to catch a glimpse of it everytime I walked past. Or maybe, it could just simply be spending time with Benji while Emma was at orientation during the day. Whatever it was, it has left in me a sweet memory of once being there.
