Day 5 - Geneva
It was the first day of Emma's orientation programme. We woke up early at about 645am. It was business as usual of washing up our boy before Emma left for her office.
As for me, I had my breakfast at about 9am at the hotel. As Benji fussed during breakfast, I had to quickly finish up and come up to the room; perhaps it was either he was hungry or sleepy.
In the room, I tried to cajole him to sleep. While he slept on me, I cleared some work emails on my phone. I had this presupposition that if I were to put him down in the cot, he would wake up due to the adjustment of moving him to the cot. So I kept him on me till he woke up about an hour and half later. Then, I prepared formula milk for him. He drank only like half of it.
I then brought him out for a walk. Partly, it was about lunch time and I was getting hungry. I chanced upon Riverside cafe but upon seeing the menu, I decided to give it a miss as I was not prepared to spend so much for lunch. In the end, I settled for some bakery stuff and a bottle of coke which I got it off one of the food stall along the tramline.
Then we sauntered along the old town streets, went to a few stores for a quick browse, took a few photos and just enjoyed Geneva and the time spent with little Benji. He looked around, as if curious about the surroundings, and dozed off about an hour later after he'd grown tired from all the gallivanting.
I then went back to the hotel. As he was still asleep, I decided to have a cup of cafe latte to nurse myself from the cold and tireness as well.
Back in the room, after he woke up, I read a book to him, played with him a while, fed him and cajoled him to sleep again. Time had passed so quickly, faster than I thought. It was already evening. Emma came back at about 6pm.
We had dinner with Emma's colleagues at Molino - a restaurant that serves Italian food. Thereafter, we went back to the hotel.
After settling Benji, we chatted for a while. I spent some time to recollect the day and pen it down here. When I was done writing, I went to bed at 11pm.
