Today we left Mallacoota. It was sad to say goodbye to the beautiful beaches and waterways of this small town. We have however officially entered the "grey nomad season", which makes Roy feel fit and young in comparison to all the other holiday goers. The highlight of today was Max catching his first fish. After spending about half an hour at the boat ramp watching the men and women scale and fillet their catch, Max and Archie were keen to go fishing. The boat ramp and jetty are about 50m from our campsite, so it didn't take long before Roy and the boys had returned with their fishing gear. We had a further two days in Eden. Enjoyed a trip to the Whale Museum and spent the other day on a beautiful secluded beach where the boys did their first spot of fishing. Archie's line looked more like a bowl of noodles, rather than a fishing rod and Roy's patience was wearing thin.
