Had a really nice relaxing day today. Started with a bike ride into town. Had breakfast at a local cafe followed by a quick visit to the supermarket. So glad we took the extra time to find and fit the appropriate bike racks. While Archie is improving he has spent quite a bit of time falling off and getting back up again, usually with a smile on his face and saying something like "lucky I'm tough dad". In just one day he can now start and stop by himself (without training wheels). Max is powering up the hills usually with Archie in hot pursuit. It is not unusual to hear Max commentating a cylce race as they pass by "...and here cames Cadel...". It takes us back to Le Tour de France.
After lunch we headed over to SwanHaven. Great spot for the kids. Roy couldn't wait to put his kayak in. We all enjoyed the afternoon swimming and kayaking. Like the bikes, I can now see the value in bringing the kayak. Excluding the crocadile infested waters of Australia, I think we will get really good use out of it. Not to mention the fun everyone has using it.
Baz and Cal arrived just after dinner. We were all excited to see them (especially the boys, they couldn't wait to see Cal). Baz just had a fold out tent fitted to the roof of his "troopy" for his upcoming Australian expedition(s). It is all new and very exciting for everyone.
