Enjoyed a beautiful day in Eden today. Max had his first day at school this morning. It all seemed to go well, but when it came to colouring in some pictures he said "I can't believe I'm wastin' my day doin' this". Gee, I can't wait until we start pronunciation!!! Archie was really enthusiastic so he was allowed to sit in on the class. Although his concerntration faded well before Max.
Once class was out we headed over to Eden Marina. We wandered up and down the wharf looking at all the huge fishing trawlers before enjoying the best fish and chips we have had in a long long time. We all agreed it was delicious. After lunch we were lucky enough to see a trawler pull in and off load their catch. The boys were mesmerised watching crate after crate being craned out of the hull. The fish were of all different shapes, colours and sizes.
The afternoon was spent at the beach, right across the road from our camp. The boys played for ages on their boogy boards with Roy pushing them onto the waves. They both seemed to enjoy being rolled around by the waves, Archie in particular. Later Max organised some running races and relays for the four of us. I forgot how hard it was running in soft sand.
Today feels like a little turning point for me. We are all starting to settle into life on the road and the boys are starting to get to bed a bit earlier which we will all benefit from.
