Hi Guys,

It is my second day here and I am slowly getting used to this travel malarky!! Although it is a bit strange and still emotional for me at times.

Stayed in the hostel last night as their was a film night and I was exhausted from the flight. The bunks are surprisingly comfy and I was able to sleep despite the noise from the street and people coming and going from the room, they did respect people sleeping and didnt put the light on. My room is now full, their is a girl from Canada doing a film studies course and a french girl who is working in a bank for two months, I havent met the others yet, it is two groups of girls and they keep themselves to themselves.

I woke early this morning to go and explore the city, I even managed to concor the subway!! Wasnt too bad although they are a bit dodgy and it is funny to people watch, some guy just broke into a rap song and everyone was staring at him.

The weather hasnt been very good today so I wasnt able to go up the Rockerfalla so fingers crossed I can do that tomorrow, I decided I would hit the shops instead and went to Macy's, Saks, Bloomingdales, A&F, and a few toy stores......hee hee check out the pics (well when I figure out how to attach them that is!!), I couldnt resist having a go on the "BIG" piano! Had to push a few kids of though! And surprisingly I only bought a few things, have to watch the bag of DOOOOOOOM!

Anyway, I managed to find the subway again and my hostel and am in for the night, dont fancy doing the subway of a night its a bit wierd! There is a comedy night on tonight so might catch that, although shopping is tiring and have walked everywhere.

Plan to go on a cruise round the island tomorrow and a bus tour.
