15/08/11 Day 5. Berlin - Czech Republic, Prague
Got out of the motorhome park in Berlin at 10 and headed for Czech Republic. Dave was at the helm for the first 200km followed by Sam E. Unfortunately for Sam, there was lots of traffic on the autobahn and rain! It made out journey an hour longer than it should have been. We stopped off once we crossed the border and Sam went and bought the Vignette, like a tax disc that licenses your vehicle to be on the road. Arrived at the campsite at the edge of Prague at half 4. Again, it was raining to put a downer on things. We went to the outside bar and got a pint of Czech pilsner which was quite tasty! The rain died down and we headed into Prague. To get there we had to use the metro system. It was so hard to understand we just bought some kind of ticket and got on. We didnt get checked so it was all good. After a whistle-stop tour of Prague to see the Astronomical clock, St Charles bridge and the castle we headed to some bars. The beers were 40Kc which was around £1.80, bargain prices. Roxxy's is a nightclub that has free entry on Monday nights so we were straight there. We thought there might have been extortionate drink prices but luckily they weren't, 40Kc again!! I got well and truly leatered. The music was odd it was all house and everything had the same beat but we still had a good time. Got back to the campsite using a taxi and using my brilliant drunk judgement I pressed a button that I thought was for the window, instead the door slid open! Scary! Overall it was a great night. Kutna Hora tomorrow, I can't wait.
