After Jen arriving back at 5am from her shift we all had a bit of a lie in. We walked up to the shops and bought a salad for lunch and sat on a bench over looking a bit of the harbour that we could see over the trees. One of Jennie's colleagues, Roy, had a BBQ and invited us all, he had a high sky apartment with great views over Sydney harbour and the opera house!

We headed into the city to get our last little bits of shopping before heading to Sydney. We ran out of time quickly and picked up the train to get back to the house and pack up our bag... I hate packing!! It was fairly painless and managed a cuppa before a taxi came and took us to the airport. After a pleasant flight and taxi we got to the hotel and met Jen and mike! We decided to head to the beach today as it was one of the touristy activities we'd planned to do in our time in Melbourne. Hopped on a train to Flinders street then walked up to jump on a tram. 15 minutes later we arrived at St Kilda. It was a bit cloudy and chilly in the wind but we grabbed a hot chocolate and some lunch before doing a nice walk up the pier and along the beach. Today i was feeling good enough to get out the house and into the sunshine. Had a relaxing morning at the house then headed off to my favourite bagel place on Degraves street. After a great bagel and a coffee we found our way across the river to the Eureka tower where we bought a pass for the sky deck on the 88th floor for a daytime and night time entry. It's apparently the highest city tower in the Southern Hemisphere, it's a residential tower with the top level...

Not much to report on for the last couple of days as my tonsilitis returned with a vengeance. Really wasn't nice but good to have the support of the family from along way away :). Found myself a doctors surgery with the help of Steph and after a quick consultation got some stronger anti biotics which are helping a lot and feeling a lot better now thankfully, hopefully it stays away this time!
